BRIEF HISTORY
In 1996, Mrs. Luz Enriquez-Lombos originally conceptualized a learning center in the heart of Katarungan Village, Muntinlupa City, envisioning to REINFORCE, ENHANCE, and provide MASTERY of a child's learning brought about by the Education System of the country through individualized instruction.
She shared her first hand experience in nurturing and guiding the growth of her three children, believing that learning must be geared to the maturational level. The child's grasp of many topics encountered at school is often quite incomplete and to think that a number of students- to mention, more than 40 are placed in one class. This notion prompted her to pursue such contributing endeavor to fill in the gap between school-home support.
Hence, the birth of LOMBOSCO TUTORIAL CENTER was on May 24, 2000. LOMBOSCO is a combination of our family name LOMBOS and our mentor-saint, DON BOSCO. St. John Bosco was the proponent of the Preventive System of Education primarily for the youth.
Swiftly, our first year of operation dawned upon us with flying colors. The Tutorial Center gave much-more than what was required and needed by our clients. Fortunately, the second year of operation has drawn more attention and admiration from the community. It has been challenging and equally fulfilling on our part as educators. Our noble calling helps the youth shape up not only academically but in all aspects for them to develop as well-rounded individuals.
The effective system was simply presented to the utmost level of understanding of each child whom we ensure and experiential, fun-filled learning. Moreover, it was evidently seen and found attractive by the parents. In a good light, parents got satisfaction from our services and they were the ones who requested us to open a preschool starting school year 2002-2003. Seeing the need during the Incorporators' meeting in December 26, 2001, we made the decision to make a start-ready for a PRE-SCHOOL. For this reason, LOMBOSCO ACADEMY FOUNDATION, INC. exists now as a result of the joint effort of five Incorporators namely, Mr. Rey D. Enriquez, Mrs. Anisia Datu-Enriquez, Engr. Noe D. Enriquez, Mr. Umberto L. Lombos, Jr. and Mrs. Luz Enriquez-Lombos. Heeding a professional call, with the blessings from God and the support of our parents, we are destined to succeed in accomplishing our VISION and MISSION.
